Many Spaces. One Prayer.
If we want to see God move in our community it starts with unified prayer. That’s why we’ve created Prayer Spaces.
What is a Prayer Space?
A PrayerSpace is simply a short moment in our week where we stop and pray, specifically for our church and community.
It might be only 5–10 minutes, it might be more. It might be on our own or with a couple of others. It could be at home, at work, in our car, or out for a walk.
Nothing too formal. Nothing too complicated. Just making space for God.
We want to build a culture and rhythm of prayer for our community in the life of our church and believe this is a simple way to start.
How to get started.
First of all, don’t overthink it. Just pick a time and a place. Keep it simple.
Start this week. If you want to invite someone to join you, do it. If not, that’s completely fine too.
Here’s a really simple prayer guide for us all to follow:
Take a moment to slow down and think about the kindness of God. Thank Him for His goodness in your life.
God
Pray for our church—unity, strength, wisdom for leaders, and that people would genuinely encounter Jesus.
Church
Pray for our local area—families, schools, businesses and community leaders. Ask God to bring peace, healing, hope and wisdom.
Community
If you’re with others, take time to pray for each other as well as any specific prayer requests you are aware of.
Others
Ask God to help you love people well and carry His presence wherever you go.
Yourself
That’s pretty much it…
You don’t need to be great at prayer. You don’t need heaps of time. Just get started by creating a small space in your week… and see what God does with it.
Once you’ve chosen your time, take a moment to add it to the PRAYERSPACES register (using the form below) – this is a powerful way for us to see just how far-reaching prayer is becoming across our community.
Thank you. Every space matters and every prayer counts.
